The team of Matt Elliott and Victor Rini shattered the previous record for largest catch with a bag weighing 35.14 Lbs., at our Liberty Reservoir tournament 9/17/16. The previous record of 32.90 Lbs. was caught at Prettyboy Reservoir by the team of Waino Anderson and Ron Wolfe. That record remained uncontested for more than 13 years. Matt and Victor took first place in the tournament and also claimed the largemouth lunker prize with a 5.52 Lb largemouth. The team of Chad Wisner and Leonard Wisner took second place with 25.57 Lbs. Third place went to the team of Waino Anderson and Ron Wolfe with 21.34 Lbs. Waino and Ron also won the Smallmouth lunker prize with a 3.19 Lb. smallmouth. Congratulations to all competitors.
Our fourth tournament of the 2016 season was, by all accounts, a tough one. Prettyboy Reservoir handed all of the competitors a real test of their abilities. Emerging as the champions of this challenge was the team of Waino Anderson and Ron Wolfe. Their 17.91 LB limit included the tournament Largemouth lunker weighing 3.49 Lbs. Second place honors went to the team of Craig Gordon and Holden Wolfe, with a limit weighing 15.67 Lbs. Craig and Holden also brought in the lunker Smallmouth, which weighed 2.81 Lbs. Rob Bertazon and Ron Broadwater claimed third place with a 13.17 Lbs limit. Congratulations to Waino, Ron, Craig, Holden, Rob and Ron. Great effort!

The Weekday Warrior Open at Liberty Reservoir on 8/10/16 was a challenging event, with only 4 limits brought to the scales. The team of Chad Wisner and Mark Onheiser took 1st place with an 8-fish limit weighing 16.58 Lbs. Their limit included the tournament lunker, a 5.05 Lb largemouth. The team of Ian Walker and Larry Bertholdt claimed second place with an eight fish limit weighing 13.71 Lbs.

Their 22.26 Lb. bag gave them a significant lead over the field on this tough fishing day. The team of Steve Allender and Mindy Clevenger took second place honors with an impressive limit totaling 19.08 Lbs. Third place was claimed by the team of Rob Bertazon and Ron Broadwater with a limit that weighed 18.71 Lbs. The Largemouth lunker, weighed 4.27 Lbs and was brought to the scales by the team of Rob Bertazon and Ron Broadwater. Finally, the team of Russell Brown and Tom Kobus claimed the Smallmouth lunker award with a 1.22 Lb. Smallmouth. Congratulations again to Matt, Steve S., Steve A. Mindy, Ron, Rob, Russell and Tom. Well Done!

Congratulations to the team of Don Kosdemba and Gary Gangi, for their first place finish at Liberty on 7/17. Don and Gary brought in a limit of eight fish with an official weight of 23.88 Lbs. The team of Waino Anderson and Ron Wolfe took second place with 21.40 Lbs, including the tournament lunker largemouth, which weighed 4.49 Lbs. Third place was claimed by the team of Rob Bertazon and Ron Broadwater, with an official weight of 19.84 Lbs. On a day that saw very few smallmouths brought to the scales, The lunker smallmouth weighing 1.95 Lbs, was brought in by the team of Cribb & Denbow. Substitute angler Mike Bruening filled in for Ken Denbow for this tournament.

Chad and Mark weighed a limit of 8 bass totaling 17.70 Lbs. Their catch included a 4.09 pound Largemouth, which claimed the tournament lunker prize. The team of Eric Holmes and Ryan Auxt claimed the second place prize with 15.70 pounds.

Our 2016 tournament season got off to a fine start at Prettyboy reservoir on Sunday. Congratulations go out to our top 3 finishers. The team of Matt Elliot and Vic Rini claimed first place with a 6 fish bag weighing an impressive 20.32 Lbs. Second place was claimed by Craig Gordon and Holden Wolfe with an 8 fish limit weighing 16.62 Lbs. Mike Atwood and Jess Weeks won the third place prize with an 8 fish limit weighing 14.59 Lbs. The 4.92 Lb. lunker largemouth was brought in by Matt Elliot and Vic Rini. Chad Wisner and Leonard Wisner claimed the lunker smallmouth prize with a 3.68 Lb. smallmouth.
With only three 8-fish limits brought to the scales, this was certainly a challenging day of fishing for all. Congratulations to all who competed!

Our June 26th Tournament, at Prettyboy Reservoir, is just around the corner! Our strong field of top reservoir anglers will make for a very competitive season.
Be advised, our last practice day on Prettyboy will be Wednesday, June 22. After that, Prettyboy reservoir will be off-limits to all Metro anglers, until tournament day.
There is always an open invitation to the public to attend our 4:00 PM weigh-in (at the Prettyboy ramp).
