Stay Dry - Frogg Togg Deal

Submitted by tcgordon on Thu, 06/11/2015 - 04:49

In a Cabela's flyer I see the best deal ever for a full Frogg Toggs Pro Action II Rain Suit. Normally 49.99, just for this Father’s day sale June 11-21 they are $29.99. I have the highest end Frogg Toggs for my primary light rain suit but I now have 3 or more of this one on my boat (for guests, emergency, backup) and others at home for biking/hiking, etc. These are great suits because a) they work great b.) pack down small c.) are very light and don’t hinder you when fishing or with other sports and d.) inexpensive – compared to other suits.

It only takes a minute....

Submitted by 8plusW8 on Tue, 03/26/2013 - 20:16

to pack an extra set of warm clothes to put on the boat during the colder months. I will take an old pair of undies (non-skidmarked), old pair of red/green tube socks, old pair of PUMA sweats and keep them in a CONVERSE bag on the boat in case of a mishap.

I had a tourney on Pboy (3/24) and one of our guys (no names) fell in somewhere up north. He is 60+ years old and just think if he didnt have a partner it could of been tragic. No way with all of those clothes on he could of pulled himself back into the boat plus the 40 degree water temp.

Thank the good Lord he is okay.

I think we all have our stories. When I lived in Pensacola, Florida I was out fishing one day and the wind blew me up against a piece of timber. I stuck my foot out to push off the piece of wood and it was dry-rotted and snapped off right at the waterline and in I went. Thank God it was Florida and it kinda felt good.....except for my pride! lol
