I have just received my MRA site approval and thought that I would ask the members for advice. My adult son and I are both avid anglers and have both PA and non-res MD licenses. Due to lack of a boat, we have been bank and dock fishing for many years.
My son's 28th birthday is coming up this Saturday and I would like to give him a day of good fishing as a gift. He deserves a day out, as for the past 7 years he has given up a permanent job to live-in and help care for his handicapped mother. His only income is what I can afford to pay him from my military retirement and SSA benefits. I am looking for a guide or an angler knowledgeable of the reservoirs that can take him out sometime this summer and show him a good time on the water.
I have checked with some of the Susquehanna guides and they are all asking $350 and up for a day; and I can only afford around $150. Do you know of any MRA members that can help me give him a great birthday present for this amount? We live in Railroad, PA and within a 1/2 hour of Prettyboy, but any good waters will be fine.
