If you enjoy fishing ,competition, camaraderie, it doesn't get any better than this. I have fished the Metro Reservoir Anglers Tournament Trail from the first tournament to the start of this years season. Tournaments are the best way to improve your fishing skills. Competition pushes you to succeed, I think some of the best reservoir fisherman fish the Metro tournaments. Why not compete with the best. Notice I said " with " not against, you are fishing to win a tournament. When you take that approach you can focus on fishing ,not competitors. Over the years I have had many of the members help me with a tip or advice and I have done the same. You will find anglers that are deadly with jigs, excellent with spinnerbaits and crank baits, and of course the worm fisherman. Not to forget all the combined years of reservoir knowledge. Camaraderie - some of the best times of a tournament day are before the tournament starts , the joking around and dock lies, and after the day is done, the shoulda, woulda, coulda, and congratulating the winners. This is very important to me, I hate to lose as much as anybody but when it is your turn to win you will enjoy those congrats even more. I hope to see you on the tournament trail.
