Torqeedos

Anyone considering getting one I have had mine out three times now and love it! My bass tracker 165 pro team is on the heavy side but the cruise 4.0 48v gets it running 6.9mph full throttle. I am running it on four group 31 batteries. I took it up to cold Saturday last weekend about 1/2 to 3/4 throttle and when I got up there my voltage was like 48.4 or something along those lines same thing on the way back when I reached the pumping station it read 47 and change so I just full throttled it to the ramp. Needless to say I am very impressed!

I should have gotten one when
I should have gotten one when i bought my Ray 2 years ago. Epower offered to send me one to test but I had my heart set on a Ray after owning serial #20 for 15 years with no problems. The new one came with a problem, noise! The new Rays are not like the old Rays and I had to fight to get it fixed.

The torq motors I have seen
That sounds great on those torq motors... From what I have seen they look good... it will be interesting to see how they hold up over years of use..
I bought my 60 volt Ray in 2001 ...I have always run it on 60 volts.... and it is now on its 11th season...i have never had a problem and it has never let me down to this day... Im glad I own it..
Good to hear. I haven't heard
Good to hear. I haven't heard a single negative report on the Torqeedo motors. The only questions (speculations) I have heard revolve around the question of longevity. Only time will tell, but all indications are, these are very well built motors. How far did you travel on Saturday? Carrying 4 group 31 batteries instead of 8 6-volts is a major weight benefit, if you are getting the range you need. Does the information system work well with accurate Range estimation?
The thing is I couldn't get
The thing is I couldn't get my HDS unit to work for whatever reason Saturday so I do not know the exact distance I traveled...I fished the cypress trees up in cold Saturday then headed back to the ramp except for 140 that is the longest run I will have to make. So overall I am very pleased with it so far. I also hear some time in the near future torqeedo is working on a head that will draw 6000w vs my motor which draws 4000w. I am not sure how much the part will cost but from what I understand it will be fairly simple to switch within the motor head.
Were you able to get your HDS
Were you able to get your HDS to work? I'm about ready to pull the trigger on a torqueedo and was wondering what kind of run time you are getting at full speed.
