Sure to revolutionize bass fishing.
I bought this thinking it would increase my speed but that didnt work out.It looks like it raised the motor 3 inches so do you think thats the problem.
I drilled new holes so mine would sit lower. I gained a negligible amount of speed but the remote tilt comes in handy. It makes it it easy to adjust the tilt to get the best speed.
I wouldnt expect much if any speed out of the tilt and trim but raising the motor (vertically) because of the mounting may not have helped. The general consensus is to have the top of the prop even with the bottom of the boat if not lower. Regardless, though you may not gain top-end speed, it comes in handy to a.) adjust for conditions (e.g. raise/lower front of boat in windy/wave conditions) b.) shallow water/weeds vs. manually tilting. Not that i have ever had to use mine, but make sure you understand and have the tools to manually release the hydraulic should it stick or you somehow lose the power to lower it electronically.
Go Fish Yourself! <'')))>< ...Respectfully.
