We all enjoy our time on the water, whether fishing or just getting away from the daily grind. One of the things I see most is people unaware when passing another boat that is fishing. Maybe this might help. First slow down see what they are doing ,are they fishing towards the shoreline ,away from the shoreline, trolling-straight behind them or maybe with planer boards out to the sides of their boat. (usually yellow or orange plastic)- 25 feet or more to to each side attached with line. Or maybe the boat is stationary, fishing a marker buoy.( again usually yellow, orange or green.) If you can't tell which direction they are fishing - when approaching you may want to say " what side would you like me to pass by." This will make your day as well as theirs less stressful.
