We had a hot sunny Sunday for our fourth tournament of 2018. Twenty four teams competed on 8/26/18. Liberty reservoir provided a lot of nice bass and one record setting largemouth. Congratulations to the tourney champions, Marty Cribb and Ken Denbow on their 5-fish limit weighing 18.29 Lbs. In second place was the team of Waino Anderson and Ron Wolfe with a 17.29 pound 5-fish bag. Third place was won by the team of Craig Gordon and Holden Wolfe with 5 fish totaling 15.58 Lbs. The all-time record setting tournament lunker largemouth, weighing 6.72 Lbs., was caught by the team of Tom Kobus and Jason Yu. That Largemouth bass is the heaviest bass in a regular season tournament in the recorded history of this club! This surpasses the 6.64 Lb Largemouth caught at Prettyboy in 2015 by Max Marchant. The tournament lunker smallmouth bass, weighing 4.21 Lbs was caught by the team of Gary Gangi and Dan Kosdemba. Congratulations to all of the winners. Thanks again to all of our teams for excellent fish care. Ninety five fish were weighed in and Ninety four of those fish were returned to the reservoir alive and well. Thanks to Holden Wolfe, Bobby Standiford, Matt Elliott, and Max Marchant, for all of the help in tourney preparations, check-in and weigh-in. As always, an additional thanks to our sponsor Anglers Express. We truly appreciate the support!
