5 Fish Limit has been adopted beginning 2018

Baltimore Metro Reservoir Anglers will be a 5-fish limit tournament club, beginning in 2018. The club vote was a split decision, but it was a decisive decision, in favor of reducing our tournament limit to 5 fish.
As president of the club, I want to be clear that the reason for the rule change is simple: The majority of teams voted in favor of the "industry standard" 5 fish limit. Each team has their own reasons for their vote.
58.82% voted for 5 fish limit and 41.17% voted for an 8 fish limit. This is not an overwhelming margin, but by any measure, a 17.65% margin is considered decisive.
We will remain a team format club. This reduction in limit does not open the door to individual members joining with the intent to fish alone. A basic tenet of our club is, and will remain, the 2-person team concept.
Thanks to all of those who voted. I appreciate the show of good-sportsmanship by those who did not get the outcome they wanted. The show of respect and club consensus was a great thing to see.
