Those that attended our 2013 Annual Meeting are already aware, but I will now make the plea to all.
There is a reservoir cleanup scheduled for this Saturday at Loch Raven Reservoir. There will be many people working to collect trash and put in bags all along the western shore of Loch Raven from Dulaney Valley bridge north to the logjam shoreline just above the power-lines.
Those volunteers will be picking up the trash and putting it into plastic bags and placing them at the edge of the water. All we need to do is enjoy the morning by fishing and then sometime between noon and 2:00 come search the shoreline for the bags that have been filled. Put them on your boat and take them back to the fishing center where a City truck will be waiting. After you are done - go back to fishing!
Please add a comment to the blog and let me know if I can count on you to help! I walked the trails from Dulaney Valley Road up to the logjam and there is a lot of trash that has washed in with the big storms of last fall and this winter. I hope we can get a lot of boats to make it easy on everyone. With good participation, it will not take long to make the Loch a much prettier place to be this year!
