This is Colton......he went with us Sunday. This kid can work a jig. He had a fish on every time I looked over at him and his Dad.......I couldn't wait to get around each corner so I didn't have to watch anymore!!!

Even with the long winter finally over the bass seem to be right on schedule for the first week of May to get started for the spawn. Yesterday the water temps at liberty were 54-57 degrees. That is still to cold, but with a few warm days and not so cold nights it won't take long! Typically at Prettyboy and Liberty I start to see bedding fish around May 5th. I have always heard " when the dogwood trees are in bloom the bass will be on the beds." Just last week the dogwoods are beginning to show signs of blooming. So get ready it's about to bust loose! Good luck! PS read my blog " Bedding Fish " for ways to help the bass during this vulnerable time. Thanks.
